Calling Veterinary Students – Win Money to Pay For Tuition

All students love the idea of free money to pay for their studies. The VIN Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides tools and resources to support veterinary students and veterinarians throughout their careers, is running their third annual essay competition which is a wonderful opportunity for such students to try and win their way to financial success.

The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in veterinary school, the winning three entrants will win scholarships to help support tuition and education related expenses. The winner will take away $3 000 n the runners-up $1 500 and $1 000 respectively.

The first competition contest challenged students to provide innovative solutions to problems they see facing the veterinary profession. The majority of submissions addressed student debt, gender inequality, and mental health. Last year’s competition asked students to share what they wish they knew before applying to veterinary school. This year, veterinary students will be asked to shed light on the impact of practice consolidation within the profession.
