Dogs Just Wanna Have Fun!

Dogs of all shapes and sizes were lining up outside a pet store in Laguna Niguel in southern California over the weekend curious to get inside and taste the latest treats and sniff out the latest toys

The occasion was the opening of the 24th Kriser’s, a fast growing chain of pet specialty boutiques from pet industry entrepreneur Brad Kriser.

Petiques such as Kriser’s really showcase the latest toys, beds, treats and of course the premium foods that are now taking center shelf as pet parents clamor to copycat their natural, organic food trends for the fur kids.

“As people become more discerning about their pets’ health and wellness, we’ve seen an increasing number of pet parents seek resources within their communities to get education and convenient access to quality products under the same roof,” added Kriser. “It’s engrained in our store culture to offer knowledge first and foremost, alongside tailored recommendations based on their pets’ unique needs. We will continue to be a voice for those without one.”

So often such stores are dog centric, but I am happy to say that this chain is very cat friendly in terms of food, toys and treats too.

Since opening its first store in Chicago in 2006, Kriser’s has locations in 4 markets – Chicago, Denver, Southern California and Houston. And Brad remains very hands-on as to what is on the shelves. That’s the way is should be!

Distraction toys such as a Kong can provide additional hours of fun if you stuff it with Ultramix sweet potato or pumpkin puree and freeze the toy until the puree is solid. Be sure to give the stuffed Kong to your dog outside or somewhere where you won’t mind cleaning up the mess – if he doesn’t lick up everything for you! Peanut butter is another great option.
