Dogs love to surf and if your pooch has never tried, well head down to San Diego next weekend.
Professional surfer, Taylor Knox, will be one of the judges in this year’s Surf Dog Competition taking place in Imperial Beach, CA on July 13, 2014.
“As a supporter of animal adoption and pet parent myself, I’m stoked to be partnering with Unleashed by Petco to support both the surfing community as well as the San Diego Humane Society,” says Taylor Knox.
Knox will also serve as one of the judges of the surf dog competition alongside Jim Janney, Mayor of IB; Brad Wills, San Diego Fox 5; Gary Weitzman, President and CEO San Diego Humane Society; Ron & Tillman, from Natural Balance and Vito Spano, Vice President Unleashed by Petco.
The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will also host an on-site dog park, treats for dog competitors and viewers, and a dog wash station. Human attendees will also experience a variety of San Diego-based food and beverage suppliers, including Bitchin’ Burgers food truck, Devilicious food truck, Ale Smith brewery and Coronado Brewing Co.
