Dani and her dad Derek tried this new drinking cup from Dexas International on their morning outings to the beach in Huntington Beach, in California.
His comments: “The product is nice and sturdy and I liked the bumps on the outside which make it easy to hold while wet.
We didn’t even need the attached bowl as Dani is used to drinking from faucets and water bottles and generally prefers it. Although a little tall it fitted beautifully into the side water bottle pouch of my travel backpack that I use on all our outings. The tops are easy to open and close with one hand which is really nice as my hands are usually occupied with a toy or giving commands to Dani.
With our standard twist top water bottles I have to put everything down to unscrew the cap and then frantically twist the cap back on as Dani gallops off down the beach after her drink. So the tops are a great feature.
Dani drinks quite a lot of water while at the beach (1.5 to 2 bottles (17oz) per trip) so the volume of liquid was not enough for her. She needed both sides of the bottle and I had to re-fill the bottle for a second round. So it would probably work better for smaller dogs or on shorter outings (our beach trips are about 2 hours).
Nevertheless it a really great idea and a very practical product. It costs around $20 and widely available nationwide.
