Last year, Consumers Digest rated the Sleepypod the magazine’s Premium Best Buy Carrier. And with very good reason. It is crash-tested and made from ballistic nylon.
The design is a winner because many small dogs and of course cats, love to sleep “in the round”. And there is another plus. For dogs and cats that are nervous about vet visits, its very easy to open the top of the pod and for the veterinarian to do his initial examination without removing them for the carrier.
Then when you do travel somewhere, by simply unzipping the top, your pet has a bed that is literally a home away from home.
I have had Sleepypods for my kitties since they first came on the market back around 2007.
The quality is as good now it is was then. There have been no compromises to the design which often happens with companies looking to cut costs! I love the mesh top — plenty of ventilation and visibility for the pet to look around.
Recently the company introduced both this design above and their Sleepypod Air ( for air travel) in the fabulous Robin Egg Blue.
It is a fabulous color to boot.
