When Dexter met Zoe, it was love at first bark. And, what followed was the very glamorous Wigglebutt Wedding that had the media in a tizz for weeks speculating what the bride and groom would wear for this stylish fundraiser event.
But word in the dog park was that the relationship wouldn’t last because Dexter, dubbed the George Clooney of Cocker Spaniels, has a roving eye and likes an off-leash lifestyle.
And, well, they were right …
Recently Dexter has been seen sniffing around a very glamorous blonde Cocker named Coco Chanel Bella and sources close to the handsome Cocker playdog say that they have become very close and, in fact, are sharing tug-toys and treats.
The new doggie duo nicknamed Codex by the Puppurazzi will step out in style and publicly announce they are an item at the up-coming Wigglebutts Goes Hollywoof weekend fundraising event scheduled to take place on September 20, 2014, at Olde Towne Pet Resort in Sterling, Virginia.
“We sold out months in advance thanks to dedicated dog moms and dads,” said Carol Bryant the couple’s publicist and spokespawson. “Guests will be treated to an evening of glamour and upscale fun an given the full “Hollywoof” red-carpet treatment.”
The dinner-dance gala will feature gourmet food for both the two-legged and pawed guests, who will also be treated to swag bags, prizes and a special award ceremony.
According to an insider close to the furry couple, they are hoping that pet industry sponsors will still step forward with donations that will ultimately benefit Oldies but Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue, an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in the Washington DC metro area.
Both Dexter and his new love will walk the red carpet in designs from the Clooney Cocker clone’s favorite couturier, Anthony Rubio. And trendy collar and leash designer Sharon Romero of Around the Collar is creating special bling for the dynamic duo.
Following the evening event, guests will spend the next day at a pet friendly winery.
