One thing most cats are insistent about is getting their meals served on time and Catit’s PIXI Smart 6-meal Feeder is designed to serve meals on the clock. Guest product tester, Mr. Poopy Pants, was gifted the feeder to try because his Mom works weird hours and was looking for a feeder to provide mealtime consistency for this food-driven feline.
“I was looking for something that served both wet and dry food and would maintain freshness until meal time came around,” she explains. “This feeder met all these requirements. Plus, the cute cat design is adorable and makes up for its larger footprint.
“It works with the free Catit PIXI app. However, it only supports 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi. So, ultimately, I had to add it manually to my network. But once this was done, the rest of the programing was seamless. The App makes it convenient to program meal times, and, better still, provides notifications on my phone when a meal has been fed successfully,” she adds.

Cats are nibblers and like to eat throughout the day. It’s always best to offer cats controlled free—feeding in terms of quantity. This smart feeder allows for the daily food allowance to be divided up into mini meals and can include treats to be served at set times.
The dish wheel is easy to take out and wash and is dishwasher safe. The ice packs are reusable. The feeder comes with a USB power cord and adapter. It also takes C/LR14 batteries (not included) to power the feeder for ± 4 days in case of a black-out.

All these features make the PIXI Smart 6-meal Feeder a must-have product, and hence, it is awarded the Must Have Stamp of Approval.
If you are late home or have an emergency, this product will ensure a cat has access to food. However it’s NOT a substitute for human supervision. Cats should never be left home alone unsupervised for more than 24 hours.
