Once in a while a children’s book comes along that can be enjoyed on some many different levels and this charming book on such a read. It tells the story of The Duchess of Sussex’s rescue pooch Guy who went from “pawper to proper” when his famous pet parent married Prince Harry and moved to England.
The book relates how Guy went from being an adopted shelter dog to a Royal dog.It is a wonderful heartfelt and funny story as Guy tries to fit in with the Royal Corgis and makes faux paws such as eating Prince Charles’ sandwich.
From Her Majesty the Queen, known for her love of dogs, he learns the true meaning of family as she tells the Beagle ” You don’t have to be something you are not, you only have to be what you are.” A great message of children everywhere and no-one tells it better than this adorable Beagle.
The illustrations from EG Keller are simply gorgeous!
If you are looking for a great gift for child, this is it. It teaches about love and acceptance and best of all to respect pets.
