Let’s face it, there is no shortage of collars, leashes and harnesses available. So, when something really innovative, functional and stylish comes along, it’s really worth barking about.
The Headlight Harness is the answer to so many safety issues that pet parents deal with in the normal course of a walk at dusk or in the dark. It features a focused beam LED light on the chest area which lights up to 100 ft. ahead and casts a wide light on the ground as the dog is walking. Consequently, you can see where both you and the pooch are stepping – and everyone in the neighborhood, whether they are walking, driving or cycling past can see you too!
The push-button to switch the beam on and off is a one-click easy motion. The light is powered by a 9-volt battery and is concealed into the padded chest area of the harness so that the dog is completely unaware that it is there. The harness also has a highly-reflective trim and a handle on the top in case you need to suddenly grab your pooch and halt motion.
The custom fit offers four points of adjustment and I found it easy to maneuver to get the exact comfy fit for Riley. Also, the design has the closure points easily accessible so there is no reaching and fiddling under the tummy area. There are also two leash attachment points – top and chest to offer pet parents options for control.
Although it is not a crash-tested harness, it does also double up as a safety restraint in a vehicle if you thread the seatbelt through the handle on the top of the harness.
The harness is available in a variety of sizes catering for pooches ranging from 10 lbs to 200 lbs and with the adjustments it’s easy to get the perfect fit in the color of your choice from the selection – baby pink, orange, blue and black.
Because of the headlight – the harness needs to go over a sweater or coat in the winter but it’s very easy to adjust the settings to cater for all weathers.
The Headlight Harness has so many fabulous features, it is without doubt a must-have product and hence gets the Must Haver Stamp of Approval.
